1980 Joseph marries Odile Pagel, a winegrower from Avize who worked with her father Robert. They create the Joseph Loriot-Pagel Champagne brand and modernise the entire estate with a winery in stainless steel, an automatic press and the purchase of new plots. With their extensive knowledge of Marne Valley and Côte des Blancs terroirs, they craft new vintage champagnes such as the Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Millésimé and the Cuvée N°6 vinified in oak barrels.
